I thought I’d post a few more favorites this month . . .

I LOVE Bookmooch! To date I have received 141 books (with four more on the way). This is a great way to clean off your bookshelves to make room for new, or in this case, used, old books! I can’t say enough great things about this program. Love it!

While I’m on the subject of books, here’s another favorite thing – Library Elf. If you use the library and we certainly do – I think we’ve got about 100 books out at the moment (I homeschool – that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!) then you will love this program. Sign up, find your library, submit your email address and you will get an email reminder when books are ready to be picked up, when they are due, and ahem… when they are overdue (which hardly happens now that I’ve got Library Elf!) :)

Here are a few homeschooling favorites -

Sonlight Science DVD’s! These are so much fun! My daughter loves to watch her “science movie” while she’s looking at the experiment book (Usborne book, makes me cross-eyed but she loves it!). Buy the non-consumable and the kit for the appropriate level and you’ve got everything you need for quick, hands-on, fun days of science experiments. I have to hide this stuff and limit my daughter to once a week so it will last longer!

Who hasn’t found a need for a quick, printable worksheet once in awhile? Right now I’m using some pages I made on WorksheetWorks for handwriting (my daughters, not mine!) Lots of great worksheets to be found!

Here are some great finds in the Blogging world -

I love Art Projects for Kids – here’s one of my new favorites – How to Draw a Fall Tree (well, our leaves are almost gone, but I’m planning to get to this one next week)

Buttermilk-Chocolate Chip Crumb Cake from the Brown Eyed Baker (it’s chocolate, need I say more!)
